Our story began in the 1940s, when William Koch's grandfather, Irvin Koch, owned and operated Koch Auto Radiator Service. At its core, the business was built on understanding heat transfer, cooling systems, and mechanical craftsmanship—principles that remain fundamental to the HVAC industry today.
Inspired by his grandfather's work ethic, craftsmanship, and dedication to serving the community, William Irvin Koch, Jr. set out to continue that legacy in a new way.
Rather than servicing automobiles, he envisioned a company dedicated to improving the comfort, health, and efficiency of homes and businesses throughout Maryland's Eastern Shore.
That vision became Koch Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc.
